MAKING THE GOAL: The Aug. 7 Oneonta Relay For Life raised $50,407, according to its organizers. The day following, they were $700 short of their goal to raise $50,000, but the goal was reached in the following weeks.

HABITAT TOURNEY: Habitat for Humanity will host the Richard A. Couch Memorial Golf Tournament on Sunday, September 27 at the Oneonta Country Club.

SAVE THE DATE: Join Center City residents and SUNY Oneonta students in a neighborhood clean up at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10. The group will gather at Center Street School.

9/11 Ride: At 11 a.m., on Saturday, Sept.12, American Legion Riders (Oneonta Post 259) will take off on the 6th Annual American Legacy Scholarship Run, benefitting children of servicemen who have lost their lives post-9/11. Sign-up from 9:30-10:45 p.m. Kick-stands up 11 a.m. sharp. Info, contact Emerson Horth, 432-8762.

Democrats To Primary For Mayor
Dick Miller and Jason Corrigan will be vying for the Democratic nomination for mayor of Oneonta in the Tuesday, Sept. 15 primary.
Polls will be open from noon to 9 p.m.
Also, Lucy Bernier and Michael Getman are seeking the nomination for city judge.
On the Republican said, county Treasurer Myrna Thayne and Ed Teator are seeking the nomination.
There are also town primaries in Laurens, Maryland, Otego and Unadilla.
